More Details:

Somratan was born in Barida Village, Egra in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal, India. He completed his H.S.L.C (2011) and H.S. in science (2013) from Baita M.N High School, Baita and Egra J.L High School, respectively. He passed B.Sc in Chemistry (2016) from Rahara Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College (West Bengal State University) , West Bengal and M.Sc (2018) from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He worked as a Project Assistant in the research group of Prof. A.K. Sahoo from June, 2018 to Dec, 2018 and joined  as PhD scholar on the 2 nd of January, 2019. He is currently working on stereoselective functionalization of unactivated C-H bonds.
