Dr. Sanatan Nayak was born in Bhadrak, Odisha. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bhadrak Autonomous college, Bhadrak. After completing his M.Sc. in chemical Sciences from Pondichery central University in 2009, he joined Prof. A. K. Sahoo’s research group at the University of Hyderabad for his doctoral studies in 2009. In Prof.Sahoo’s group, his research work was focused on the development of novel synthetic methods in yne-tethered ynamides. After obtaining Ph.D. in 2016, he moved to Australia for postdoctoral research at Monash University, Melbourne (with Prof. Philip Wai Hong Chan). He joined as a Research Investigator at Syngene International Limited, Bangalore, India in May 2018. He currently involved in projects dedicated to medicinal chemistry.
