More Details:
Dr.Nayan Ghosh was born in Hooghly district of West Bengal, India in 1985. He obtained his bachelor degree in chemistry from Hooghly Mohsin college, West Bengal in 2006. After completing his M.Sc. in chemistry form IIT-Kharagpur in 2008, he joinedtoProf. A. K. Sahoo’s group at the University of Hyderabad for his doctoral studies in 2008. In Prof.Sahoo’s group, his research work focused on the development of novel synthetic methods in yne-tethered ynamides and propargyl acetates applying gold catalyst. After obtaining Ph.D. in 2014, he moved to France forpostdoctoral research at ICSN-CNRS (with Dr. Angela Marinetti) and the University of Strasbourg (with Dr.Gaelle Blond), respectively. After spending two and half year in France, he came back to India and joined as a scientist at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow in February 2018. At CDRI, his primary research interest is to develop synthetic methodology, leading to organic scaffolds relevant in medicinal chemistry.
