Outstanding Thesis Award

Dr. K. V. Sajna and Vijayendar Reddy Y. (Ph. D. 2012) are selected for the 1st prize and 2nd prize respectively of "2012 Lilly Outstanding Theses Awards". This award is given for thesis which have made significant contributions in the field of medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, computational chemistry, structural biology or analytical chemistry.

Dr. P. Ramu sridhar has been selected to receive the INSA medal for young scientists, 2012 for his conributions to the chemistry of 1,2 -cyclopropanated sugar derivatives.Dr. ramu sridhar is on the faculty of the school since 2007.

Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice Chancellor, University of Hyderabad has accepted our invitation to join the School faculty as a Honorary Professor.

Alumnus wins Bhatnagar Award

Dr. G. Narahari Sastry (Ph. D. 1993) has been selected for the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award for 2011. Dr.Sastry is the scientist-in-Charge of the Molecular Modelling Group at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad.

Rao Research Award in Chemistry and Allied Sciences category for his research work on "Fabrication of multi-dimensional (0 to 2-D) shape-defined functional nano-structures derived from diverse p- conjugated back-to-back coupled ligand molecules and their applications".
